Here we share articles and reviews about micro cruises, which we define is vessels carrying under about 50 passengers, and often carrying just 10 to 20 passengers.

We’re talking about canal cruises in Europe (France and the Netherlands, for example), the UK (especially Scotland) and Sweden. And also river cruising in many part of the world, from Southeast Asia to Portugal and North America.

Micro cruising also comprises the small yachts and goolets cruising the Greek Isles, Turkey and the coast of Croatia.

You’ll find micro-sized vessels especially ideal for:

  • Private full-boat charters by friend and family groups
  • Flexible itineraries; the captains tend to be more amenable to going with the flow
  • Visits to remote places larger vessels can’t access
  • Super close-up views life & scenery along river/canal banks and coastal points as vessels have shallow drafts
