REVIEW

This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip! Antarctica is another world. Every day is an awe inspiring experience. The natural beauty, the landscape, the penguins, the whales……everything was eye opening. Our crew which included specialists in marine biology, photography, geology, etc., made every day very interesting.

Our visits to historic sites like Port Lockroy (which still functions as a post office), Deception Island, etc., made the journey most interesting. I wish we could have gone deep inland to see the emperor penguins, but, alas that will have to wait.

The crew were outstanding, especially our expedition director, Anja Erdmann, is an absolutely outstanding leader. Utterly tireless, very knowledgeable, and ever smiling.

The food was very good.

I wish there was a way to make the Drake Passage calm!!!
