The Sea of Cortés, by the way, is also known as the Gulf of California; it’s the sliver of sea (technically part of the Pacific Ocean) that separates the Baja California Peninsula from the Mexican mainland.

- Snorkel with sea lion pups and colorful reef fish
- Ride mules into the arroyos (dry creek beds) with local rancheros
