So why Alaska?
Wildlife. Spot wild critters from the bow of the ship and close-up on kayaking and hiking excursions. See everything from humpback whales to seals, sea lions and sea otters, as well as birdlife, from eagles to oystercatchers.
Activities. Grab a paddle and snap on that spray skirt. Or lace up those hiking shoes and hit the trail. Highly trained and eagle-eyed guides will lead you through Alaska’s beautiful bounty.

Wondering when to go?
From early April into May, Southeast Alaska awakens from its winter slumber. Baby animals are out and about, grey whales and birds are migrating, forests are budding and mountain peaks are snow covered. And Aurora Borealis sightings can be part of your experience. Plus, there are fewer tourists than in July and August.
Meanwhile, the long days of Alaska’s summers mean more time to play and check out the humpbacks that are back en masse, not to mention other wildlife that gets busy mating, migrating, and feeding up for winter. Plus, temps are warmer, so there’s better access to higher elevation hikes.
