Quasar Evolution Galapagos Cruise Review

My husband and I wanted a small boat for this trip and one with extremely knowledgeable naturalists. The Evolution is one of the most experienced with a max of 32 passengers I believe. They happily changed the schedule depending on whatever unexpected events popped up.

The passengers from other boats told us they had to watch the action from their ships because their crew wasn’t allowed to alter their itinerary. For example, we left early on our pangas to see a surprise Orca pod and stayed until they left.

We also took our pangas out in the dark to a close but safe distance to the lava flow from an erupting volcano. Both were amazing experiences and we were so grateful for them.

The naturalists were really funny, and extremely enthusiastic as if seeing everything for the first time even though they had been doing this for years. It was definitely infectious!

The food was very good and we were offered a large variety for each meal. Our cabin was very large but we were one of the first to book.

Others told us their cabins were nice but not as roomy.

The Evolution was an absolute blast and all the passengers couldn’t help but become quite fond of the staff. We thought we were checking this trip off our bucket lists but now we want to come back and do the other half of the islands on the Evolution.
