Flanked by vineyards, wine villages and hilltop castles, the Moselle is considered one of Europe’s most picturesque rivers. In 2019, Crystal River Cruises will branch out to this beautiful region with 10-day sailings through Germany and the Netherlands that operate, conveniently, round-trip from Amsterdam.
The “Enchanting Moselle” voyages feature five ports new to Crystal and plenty of opportunities to taste world-class rieslings and the famous vintages of the Mosel wine region in Bernkastel. Other highlights include the medieval charm and Roman ruins of Trier and the stunning architecture of Reichsburg Castle in Cochem.
Along with the scenic Moselle, new destinations to explore along the Rhine River include Bonn, Beethoven’s birthplace; Dusseldorf, the cultural and fashion hub of Germany; the historic war museums of Arnhem, Netherlands; and returning favorite Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle converge. Overnights in Amsterdam and Trier give ample time for longer sojourns, like a day trip to nearby Luxembourg or an in-depth exploration of Holland’s art and culinary scenes.
Cruises operate on the 106-passenger CRYSTAL BACH, with its all-balcony-suite accommodations, gourmet dining and butler service for everyone.
The Moselle sailings stretch from May 28 through Dec. 24, 2019. Early booking savings of up to $1,000 per suite are available for reservations made by March 31, 2018.
