She’s a Mighty Fine Ship
We just returned from the “Grand New England Cruise” aboard American Cruise Lines’ newest ship, the American Constellation. She’s a mighty fine ship and ACL has checked most of the boxes in passenger wants. The only disappointment in the itinerary was not going to Kennebunkport as advertised, but apparently it was due to circumstances beyond ACL’s control. Crew, service, food, itinerary and lectures were all great. Music entertainment was good, but too loud at cocktail hour; cocktail implies soft, background music. Rachel, the lecturer, was excellent, friendly and always available for questions. She also led daily, usually morning, walks in each port. This was our 15th cruise with ACL and we have another one scheduled for 2018. We have sailed with other small ship cruise lines in the US, but have not found another one that measures up to ACL.
